Dr. Alan Hamilton a renowned international plant conservationist and AERF's advisor visited AERF in September. He visited projects sites of AERF in the north Western Ghats. He especially visited the Sacred groves from Ratnagiri district where AERF has carried out biodiversity conservation through peoples's participation. He could also get a glimpse of activities of AERF's private forest conservation program during his visit.



Dr.Archana Godbole delivered keynote address on the Subject -Gandhiji and Conservation in today's context at special evert organised in Wynad on 13th August commemortion of completion 75 years after Mahatma Gandhiji's fisrt visit to Mathrubhumi.The Mathrubhumi is leading publishing group from Kerala.


Two remote of-grid hamlets Alibaug block - Kamatwadi and Kutgani fought their way out of darkness through suppoert of AERF and Greenap e.V.Germeny. AERF installed a Solar Lamps Charging strat on in kamatwadi so that the marginalised communities could satisfy their basic need of light. Total 50 households have started using Scalar LED lamps instead of Kerosene, thus doing their bit in reducing carbon emissions. The German TV channel - Deutsche Welle has prepared a documentary on AERF's.
